Important information you must know about the new Florida law. Insurance companies must acknowledge communications in seven days, not 14 days like they used to. The new law has shortened the insurance company’s response time when communicating to policy holders. You need to hold your insurance company accountable if they are not responding to your communications. Keep track of all communications and place deadlines in your calendar showing when a response is due from your insurance company. If your insurance company is not responding to your communications in a timely manner, consult with your insurance agent or consult with an experienced insurance attorney.
